In this course, we reassure you that, as an ADHD adult, you are brilliant, which you know, but also you are responsible, able to be present, attentive, and follow through when utilizing your natural strengths.

As a teacher and union representative, I always advocated for my colleagues and students, and yet, unable to advocate for myself. I hadn’t developed much confidence for myself. After completing Dr. Manijeh Motaghy’s course on the challenges and benefits of ADHD, I began to understand that neurodivergent brains function uniquely. Trying to make my brain operate in ways that are foreign to it, in order to meet the expectations of with neurotypical people, is like trying to put a square peg into a round hole. Understanding and appreciating my neurodivergent brain’s way of operating has opened the doors of self-love and confidence to me. Dr. Motaghy responded to students with genuine empathy, understanding, and scientific-based knowledge, and practical tools. For every complication, struggle, place of grief that a student presented to her, Dr. Motaghy provided concrete ways to address these challenges for a positive outcome.
